In May 2008, Lawrence Livemore National Security in California Fired Hundreds of Loyal, Experienced Employees – 430 Nuclear Weapons Scientists, Researchers, Assistants, and other with long years of dedicated service and most of them over the age of 40.

In May 2013, an Alameda County Superior Court jury awarded five of them $2.7 million for wrongful termination. Another 125 have sued LLNS and await their day in court.
